Welcome to Eligio Re Fraschini S.p.A. website, the company from Legnano (Italy) involved in the manufacturing of metal and composite tools, master models and lay up tools applied in different sectors, such as the automotive, the aeronautical-space sector, the nautical and the racing fields.

Founded in 1946 with the purpose to produce wooden models for foundry application, it has been developing in the manufacturing of tools and parts in carbon fibre and in the CNC milling activities, reaching  high know-how and qualified technology levels. In the international context operating nowadays, it distinguishes itself for the experience and competence in the carbon lamination , prepreg and wet lay up technique, for the complementarity of workshop and composite department and for the cooperation offered to the customers, becoming their partner and providing the technical versatility of the whole staff.

The company consists of the engineering department, dealing with the development and definition of milling programs; the workshop, supplied with 3 axis and 5 axis machines; the composite department, equipped with autoclaves, cutting machines and laser projector; the finishing department, for the polishing of metal parts and the trimming of carbon parts; the testing laboratory, with DEA and laser machines for dimensional inspections.

The metal and carbon tools and parts are applied to different sectors: the automotive (BMW, AUDI,FERRARI, PININFARINA), the aeronautical-space sector (AIRBUS, BOEING, EADS, EUROCOPTER, INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION), the composite materials field, the general mechanics (milling, polishing and trimming), the moulds and patterns sector, the nautical field (PRADA, LUNA ROSSA, VOLVO OCEAN RACE, VENDEE GLOBE), racing (FERRARI), style (manufacturing of mocks–up) and special applications (art restoration). Eligio Re Fraschini ahs been involved in successful challenges recently: the keel manufacturing in record time for Ericsson 3 racing team (Volvo Ocean Race), the realization in carbon of the car body for Hyperion by Pininfarina, the art restoration of the Dancing Satyre statue and the winning of the Italian Excellence Award by Ferrari in 2007.
